Beta software. Silvora is currently in a closed/limited beta,
provided free of charge. Features, limits, and these terms may change as the
product develops. We'll update this page if anything material changes.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Silvora, a zero-knowledge,
end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) file storage service ("Silvora", "we", "us"). By
creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't
agree, please don't use Silvora.
1. The service
Silvora lets you store files that are encrypted on your device before they're
uploaded. We operate the infrastructure that stores your encrypted data, but by
design we do not hold the keys needed to decrypt it. See our
Privacy Policy for details on exactly what we can and
cannot see.
2. Your account
You must provide a valid email address and a password meeting our minimum
strength requirements to register.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials and your device(s)
secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked device or your password and
recovery phrase can access your files.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Silvora.
Your password and recovery phrase are the only way to decrypt your
files. Because Silvora is zero-knowledge, we never have access to your
encryption key. If you lose both your password and your 24-word
recovery phrase, your files are permanently and irrecoverably lost — there is
no "forgot password" support path that can restore them. Store your recovery
phrase somewhere safe.
3. Storage limits
Your account has a storage quota based on your plan (Free, Pro, or Enterprise,
as described in the app). During the beta, plans and limits may be adjusted; we
won't delete files to enforce a reduced quota retroactively without notice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Silvora to:
Store or distribute content that is illegal under applicable law,
including child sexual abuse material, regardless of encryption.
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Silvora's
infrastructure or other users' accounts.
Use the service in a way that violates the rights of others.
Because file contents and filenames are encrypted on your device, we cannot
inspect what you store. If we become aware of a violation (for example, through
a valid legal order, abuse reports, or anomalous account activity), we may
suspend or terminate the account involved. We cannot decrypt or hand over file
contents we don't have access to.
5. Beta status — no uptime or data guarantees
Silvora is provided "as is" and "as available",
without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
As beta software, the service may have downtime, bugs, or data-affecting
issues. While we take backups and reliability seriously, you should not rely
on Silvora as your only copy of important files during the beta.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silvora and its operators are not
liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss
of data, arising from your use of the service.
6. Deleting your account & data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any
time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This
removes your encrypted files from storage, your encryption key envelopes,
and your account record. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
We may also terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where
reasonably possible.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Silvora moves from beta toward general
availability. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated
"Last updated" date, and where practical we'll notify testers directly.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law
principles.
